Spartan is becoming one of the biggest group participation & fundraising events on the Southern Cross Kids Camps calendar.

In 2026, Wollongong is the City and WIN Stadium is the location for the event on Saturday October 10th.

Scenic Coastal Location:
Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the stadium offers breathtaking views that enhance the race experience. Its coastal setting and grandstands make it a dynamic, high-energy space with 360° views—perfect for racing events.

Ultimate Stair Challenge:
“This 22,000 seat stadium will leave your legs burning after thousands of steps, stairs & concourses, and then we throw in (a bit of) sand for that extra burn”

Double the Grit, Half the Burden:
Whether you’re chasing a podium or just a finish line, the Doubles Open turns the grind into a team victory. One goal, two Spartans, double the reward.

We’re returning to WIN Stadium for a 5km Stadion race, featuring 20+ obstacles, stairs and sweat. This unique 5km takes runners through the bleachers right on City Beach, which allows for breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Prepare for a true test of endurance, as navigating these stairs will challenge even the fittest athletes.

Have I ever run 5km? No. Have I ever done an obstacle course? Yes, when I was 12. Am I confident I can complete this Spartan course? Not at all! But I am confident in the impact that Southern Cross Kids Camps have on the lives of kids who come to this camp and the hope in Jesus that we share with them.
