Spartan Race 2026

Saturday 8th August 2026

Spartan is becoming one of the biggest group participation & fundraising events on the Southern Cross Kids Camps calendar.

In 2026, Melbourne is the City and Werribee Racecourse is the location for the event on Saturday August 8th.

A Spartan event is an obstacle course race (OCR) designed to test endurance, strength, and mental grit through a challenging, multi obstacle course.

Melbourne Races are either the 5k- 20 obstacle Sprint or the 10k -25 obstacle Super. These events feature signature obstacles like barbed wire crawls, spear throws, various climbs and heavy carries.

We invite you to join the fun of the day by signing up, training well and raising funds to see more kid’s lives transformed as they experience the best week of their year on camp.

Once again I am going to attempt to get round the course without breaking anything…and most importantly help some kids get to camp for the best week of their year.

Xavier O’Kane

Another year, another epic challenge! I’m fundraising for SCKC while taking on 3 Spartan races across Sydney, Melbourne and Lakes Entrance. Excited to race alongside great mates and raise money for kids doing it tough across Victoria!

Tyson Blair

Hi, I’m Tyson Blair, an 18 year old from regional Victoria. After entering foster care at a young age, I experienced Southern Cross Kids Camp as a junior camper. Two years ago I became a Junior Buddy, and this year I am proud to step up as a Buddy for the first time.

Lily Harmer

Hey all! I am excited to tackle the 10km Super Spartan again this year. Having led on two Bendigo SCKC camps as a buddy, I have seen the impact camp has on kids. Every donation helps give disadvantaged children a week of love, hope and fun. 🙂

Jack Brydon

Well here we go, I will be racing the 10km super Spartan race this August in Werribee. I’m so stoked to be representing Southern Cross Kids Camps alongside some fantastic people.

Caleb Noonan

This year I will be taking part in my first of hopefully many Spartan Runs. My goal is to help raise funds for the kids who are doing it tough to be able to have an unforgettable week filled with safe and happy memories… And also not to break my knees.

Alycia Anderson

As a child in foster care, Southern Cross Kids Camp gave me acceptance, confidence and a place to belong. Having experienced its impact firsthand, I am taking on the Spartan challenge so more kids facing tough times can receive the same support, hope and encouragement I did.

Belinda McInnes

Last year my “turning 40” challenge became one of the hardest things I’ve done. I am back because doing hard things matters. I race for kids supported by Southern Cross Kids’ Camps who face far bigger challenges. Sponsor me and together we can make a real difference.
