To assist Southern Cross Kids Camps in building infrastructure to maintain momentum in 2010 we are looking to recruit some key volunteer positions. All volunteers will undergo skills training and will be supported by the Australian SCKC head office in their role.
Grants writer: The grants writer will be responsible for sourcing, writing, coordinating and follow up of all SCKC grants. Preferably this would happen from the location of the Australian SCKC office in Boronia however we may look at an offsite volunteer position. We envisage this position requiring a minimum of 4 hours per week.
Public Relations and Events Coordinator: This role would require a person who is confident in their ability to articulate the vision and mission of SCKC to the wider community. Ideally the role would suit someone who is a real ‘people lover’ and who can engage and interact through a smile while staying focused on the objective of moving people from bystanders to partners. This role could also include event coordination as we roll out the “make a difference 2010 campaign’ in local churches, shopping centres and other public spaces. We envisage that this position would require a minimum of 8 hours per week.
Merchandise Manager: This is an awesome position for someone who has a flair for shopping! We require the merchandising manager to source, coordinate, manage and motivate all of our SCKC merchandise for sale via events and our web shop and also manage the purchase and inventory of T-shirts and apparel. This is a minimum 4 hour per week position.
